Jane’s Walk celebrates the ideas and legacy of urbanist Jane Jacobs by getting people out exploring their neighbourhoods and meeting their neighbours. Free walking tours held on the first weekend of May each year are led by locals who want to create a space for residents to talk about what matters to them in the places they live and work.

The Collisions That Create Our Community
Meet Your City..By plodding through the streets and trails of
one of our historic neighbourhoods we will explore how collisions of forces and
ideas of various forms have formed and are forming our City. As a Councillor I have come to increasingly
believe that what we see in a City around us is so often the result of
collisions of ideas and forces – and want to go on a walk through the community
to explore this idea in our everyday reality with people to see if this
perspective holds water.
